The Matter of the North
Founded in the year 48 as Boffin Barrow’s private home, Barrow quickly grew to be one of the principal cities of the North, with an estimated three thousand inhabitants. The world-famous Taradonian Museum is perhaps Barrow’s best-known feature, but it also contains such wonders as the Crystal Palace, the Palace of Aeronautics, and the Palace of Alchemy, to name just a few. Barrow was the scene of an important battle in the War of Northmarch Aggression, and later hosted the Taradonian Exhibition. Barrow is ethnically diverse, containing Dwervinglandish, Northern, Southern, and Eastern populations, as well as a smattering of Spiders, dinosaurs, and other non-humanoids. Barrow is also the headquarters of the Royal Taradonian Railway and the Taradinopolis Company. There is also a chapter of the Order of the Silver Eagle. Barrow is constantly growing—in fact, this page may already be out of date!
