The Matter of the North
Jurglith-liang is a remote monastery in the Eastern Mountains, just inside Valonia. It is a rare Western outpost of practitioners of the Dragonborn religion, which, like the race, is almost entirely an Eastern phenomenon. The Dragonborn monks are devotees of Tiamat, the god of darkness, and have maintained their discipline and worship on the almost inaccessible peak of the Tiger’s Tooth for more than a thousand years. In ancient legend, the Tiger’s Tooth was the seat of some nameless darkness even before the coming of the monks, but the exact nature of this presence was never spoken.
The monks are not sociable, descending from their peak only every few months to buy supplies, but are known to be hospitable to those few devoted pilgrims who make the treacherous ascent.
